The Sarasota Yacht Club offers the following membership categories to new applicants: Active Marina members have full use of everything the club offers including a slip for your boat! Participation in all boating and social activities will fill your calendar throughout the year. Reciprocal privileges are enjoyed with many national and international clubs, including the prestigious Florida Council of Yacht Clubs (FCYC). The 108-slip marina provides electricity, reduced fuel costs, cable tv and high-speed Internet access. Marina members are eligible for a slip and can apply once they are approved as members. There currently is a waiting list for slips. If you’re not on the high seas, you can enjoy spectacular dining, relax by the pool or take advantage of reciprocal arrangements for tennis and seasonal golf. As a full member you can make new friends, join one of the numerous activity committees and enjoy full voting rights.
Active Social members enjoy the same amenities as Active Marina members except for the privilege of having a permanent slip assignment at the SYC marina. Delight in the full use of the club and dining facilities while engaging in all boating and social activities. Latch on to boating members for regattas and partake in overnight excursions to Florida Council of Yacht Clubs member clubs and other destinations. Join the fun with members at poolside or step out with new friends over dinner and dancing at the numerous club events. Reciprocity with national and international association of clubs is extended along with tennis and seasonal golf. As a voting member you’ll have a voice in club operations and activities.
Seasonal Summer memberships run from May 1st to September 30th. Candidate may choose any 4 consecutive months. Summer Membership offers one of the best values for families. You are entitled to full amenities of the SYC and all of the facilities, including the reciprocal arrangements for tennis and golf. Make the SYC a starting point to make new friends in the area. One can take advantage of a summer membership for one season and may be combined with winter membership, however as the summer ends you can use your joining fee to upgrade to one of our other memberships. Seasonal Summer membership do not have reciprocal rights with other clubs and cannot vote or serve on committees.
Seasonal Winter Choose any four consecutive months between October 1st to April 30th with full use of the clubs facilities. It is only available once to prospective members and may not be combined with Summer Membership You can convert your seasonal membership to either an Active Marina or Active Social membership within 60 days of membership termination. Seasonal Winter membership does not have reciprocal rights with other clubs and cannot vote or serve on committees.
