 The Mission of the Sarasota to Havana Regatta, presented by the Sarasota Yacht Club Charitable Foundation (SYCCF), is "To promote ethical behavior among sailors and encourage the teaching of life-long lessons,which seek to build character, teamwork and strengthen respect for oneself, others, the marine environment and foster good will between the sailing communities of Cuba and the United States of America." The SYCCF was created to allow the SYC to contribute in a more meaningful way to improve the communities and world in which we live. All proceeds from the Regatta will benefit national and local US Charities such as: • American Cancer Society • Mote Marine Laboratory • Sarasota Youth Sailing Program |
